Perfect for your enjoyable holiday here in Upper Bavaria: In our restaurant HEIMAT and in our dining rooms we celebrate our regional cuisine for you. Enjoy dishes made from seasonal, regional products from suppliers we know. Our claim to our homeland is found in soil, peace and tradition. This makes it quite clear that what is on the table is not only strictly regional and seasonal, but that we take responsibility for knowing where our ingredients come from. Our credo is that 80% of the food comes from within a radius of 80 km. This guarantees the sustainability aspect in our kitchens and leaves us room to surprise you from time to time.
In 2021 GUT STEINBACH and chef Achim Hack were awarded with the Green Star by Guide Michelin for the first time. Also in 2023 we are proud to be one of the restaurants in Germany with a Green Star for sustainability.

Gut Steinbach is committed to uncompromising sustainability - also, and above all, in terms of culinary delights. Achim Hack, as the responsible chef, implements a consistent regional kitchen philosophy in our retreat, which, combined with the refinement of the high culinary school, brings with it a very special character.
In Hack's kitchen, therefore, mostly locally sourced products are used, some of which come from our own farm. From our chickens' eggs and herbs from the garden to meat products from our own game. The result: down-to-earth modern dishes with a special reference to traditional Bavarian cuisine.
