Hiking trails
(1) HindenburghĂĽtte
Option 1: Start directly from the hotel on a rather demanding ascent to the HindenburghĂĽtte. First you run parallel to our ski jumping hill, in the forest, uphill. Follow the path up to the top and follow the signs towards HindenburghĂĽtte.

Option 2: Follow the path to the right along the ski jump into the forest. At a small fork, keep to the right until you come out again at the Blindauer parking lot. From now on you have two options.
You can be driven up by one of the many Unimok buses and enjoy the view up to the Chiemsee - with, of course, many other hiking opportunities.
You can use your Reit im Winkler guest card to receive discounts for the journey.
You set out on foot. To do this, simply follow the forest road. Be careful of the buses that might come towards you.

(2) Winkelmoosalm
The Winkelmoosalm, made famous by Rosi Mittermaier, is located in the ski area of the same name, not far from our hotel.
Option 1: Drive only 17 minutes by car to the Winkelmoos car park. You can pass the toll road that goes up there free of charge with your guest card.
The Alm itself is only a few minutes' walk from the car park.
Option 2: Start directly from our hotel on foot. Pass our parking lot and enjoy our herd of red deer on your right as you run.
Walk parallel to the B305 until you arrive at the Seegatterl valley station.
Keep to the left of the forest road and walk parallel to it until you reach the Winkelmoos car park. You are now only a few minutes' walk from your destination.

(3) Traunsteiner Hut
See directions to the Winkelmoosalm.
Now follow the gorge path northeast for 5 minutes.
Good to know: sturdy shoes are necessary! Outdoor clothing is recommended.
Jogging - running - trail running
Easy stretches - up to 200 meters in altitude
Those who want it easier will find many relatively "flat" routes for jogging and easy running in the valley basin from Reit im Winkl to the Dreiseen area.

Follow the path to the right between the ski jump and the chalet village into the forest. At a small fork, keep to the right until you come out again at the Blindauer parking lot. You cross the parking lot and follow the small footpath that leads at the edge of the forest towards the playground to the water lily pond. Turn right towards the chapel (Alt-Blindau). From Alt-Blindau it goes straight on over meadows to Blindauer StraĂźe, here left downhill, over the Lofer bridge. After 200 m uphill left and right over the Wimmerkreuz (vantage point) towards the village and on to the ballroom. There it goes along the sports field over the Grenzsteg to the junction at the Krautloidersteg. Here you walk right towards Benzeck to the hamlet Alt-Blindau and from there back to Gut Steinbach.

Medium trail running routes - up to 500 meters in altitude
Hemmersuppenalm circular route with refreshment stops
For this moderately difficult tour you start directly from the hotel in the direction of the ski jumps upwards via path no.16 to the Alpengasthof HindenburghĂĽtte (1200 m) on the upper Hemmersuppenalm. On path no.13 or 131 over the Nattersbergalm to the Seegatterl car park. From there it is recommended to take the bus back to the place.

Starting point: tourist information, walking time approx. 7 hours
From the starting point via DorfstraĂźe to the church, behind it via HausbergstraĂźe, path no. 1 to the corner chapel and then follow the signs to Taubensee, paths no. 32,3,9.
Via the Stoibenmöseralm (path no. 9) you continue to the Sauermöseralm (1281 m) and the Taubensee. The way back leads over the Taubenseehütte, further past the Hirzinghütte, then left to the Dichtleralm. Over the alpine meadows to the east to the Hutzenalm and via Birnbach back to the starting point.
Special features: Viewpoint "Tauernblick and Chiemseeblick" near Stoibenmöseralm, romantic Taubensee, path leads partly over Tyrolean area, view of the Kaiser Mountains.
Refreshments: Stoibenmöseralm, Taubenseehütte, Hutzenalm, Gasthof Stoaner - Alm, Berghotel Birkenhof, in the Oberbichl district, a farm cafe

Nordic Walking: Winklmoostrail
The starting point is the beautiful Winkelmoosalm. On the route, orientate yourself on the circular hiking trail no. 7 "Winkelmoos-Alm".
You have the option of driving to the Seegatterl valley station. This is about 5km from the hotel if you follow the B305 towards Ruhpolding.
You now have several options:
- You can park your car free of charge at the Seegatterl valley station and walk either on the marked hiking trail 111/112 through the DĂĽrrnbach gorge or on hiking trail 14 through the Schwarzlofergraben.
- You can park your car free of charge at the Seegatterl valley station and take the 9507 bus, which will take you up to the hiking car park.
- It is also possible to take this bus from the village.

You drive up the toll road with your car and park it in the hiking car park at Winkelmoosalm. Please note that you have your guest card with you, otherwise the toll road costs € 7.
